About the Role
Lead a high-performing team in transforming breakthrough concepts into scalable, industrial-grade solutions that deliver measurable value to customers worldwide, driving innovations in power electronics, AI, and the global energy transition.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end innovation lifecycle, accelerating the journey from ideation and proof-of-concept (PoC) to full industrialization.
- Ensure innovation investments align with clear business cases and revenue potential.
- Lead the cross-functional Innovation Board.
- Act as the primary conduit between GE Vernova and the external innovation landscape, including universities, tech startups, and research institutions.
- Define and execute the AI strategy for Engineering & Technology.
- Drive the portfolio of AI use cases, ensuring rigorous governance, quality assurance, and seamless scaling across global assets.
- Transform technical ingenuity into a robust patent portfolio.
- Guide the team through complex IP assessment and invention disclosure processes.
- Instill an entrepreneurial, agile mindset across the organization.
- Empower engineers to push boundaries, pivot quickly, and maintain a "fail-fast, learn-faster" approach to R&D.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Proven leadership in R&D or Technology Management.
- Deep understanding of Power Electronics and the industrial application of AI.
- Track record of moving innovations from the lab to the market.
- Ability to build a business case and validate a prototype.
- Ability to translate complex technical breakthroughs into "customer value" that drives revenue and market differentiation.
- Natural collaborator who can break down silos.
- Gravitas to influence global stakeholders.
- Charisma to inspire multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Professional proficiency in German is a significant advantage.
