About the Role
The M365 Copilot Outbound, AI at Work Evangelism team helps organizations understand how Microsoft 365 Copilot transforms work. This role drives technical product marketing for Microsoft 365 Copilot, translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-centric messaging that connects product capabilities to business outcomes. You will partner with product, engineering, and marketing teams to validate claims, document functionality, and develop proof points that highlight Copilot's value and differentiation.
Responsibilities
- Own technical product positioning and messaging for the Microsoft 365 Copilot portfolio.
- Build deep product expertise by partnering with engineering and PM to understand architecture, integrations, dependencies, limitations, functionality, and roadmap direction.
- Lead product-truth validation for customer-facing assets, ensuring claims are specific, testable, and aligned to current state.
- Shape product experiences by bringing customer feedback, market signals, and competitive learnings into readiness and prioritization discussions.
- Develop technical storytelling frameworks to explain 'how it works' and 'why it matters' to IT, decision makers, and end users.
- Partner with the storytelling team to evolve messaging and assets for a consistent Copilot story across channels.
- Lead evaluations by analyzing workflow comparisons, demo replications, and feature assessments to provide guidance for Copilot positioning and messaging.
- Partner with sales and customer-facing teams to surface adoption blockers and technical objections, driving improvements in messaging and readiness.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related field AND 5+ years experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or technical communications OR equivalent experience.
- Experience marketing AI-powered products, platforms, or productivity/cloud services.
- Experience creating technical collateral and presenting to technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to craft technical product narratives that translate complex products and workflows into clear, outcome-driven customer stories.
- Cross-functional collaboration skills with product management, engineering, design, and sales/field stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build deep product expertise and translate complex systems into accurate, differentiated messaging.
- Experience validating product claims with engineering/PM partners and creating technical proof points.
- Competitive analysis skills, including understanding competitor workflows and positioning.
- Experience representing products externally through technical sessions and building scalable content.
- Customer-obsessed mindset, grounding product truth in real customer needs and constraints.
- Ability to balance long-term narrative intent with near-term execution in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Hands-on experience performing product and competitive evaluations, including demo replication and scenario testing.
- Experience creating or influencing technical demos, test plans, and evaluation frameworks.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT concerns (security, privacy, compliance, admin controls, deployment/change management).
- Leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive alignment across teams.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong bias for action.

Salary/Compensations
- USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year (U.S. typical base pay range)
- USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area base pay range)
