About the Role
The Growth & Placement Analytics team supports the executive leadership of Acrisure's North America Insurance business, translating complex data into decisions that drive revenue and operational performance. As a Strategic Data Analyst, you will work closely with a high-visibility team serving senior executive stakeholders, communicating analytical findings and contributing to the underlying data infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex, multi-source datasets into concise executive narratives that communicate findings, implications, and data limitations.
- Develop and maintain analytical deliverables including executive-facing presentations, insight memos, and self-service dashboards.
- Write sophisticated queries against Palantir Foundry Ontology to extract, transform, and validate data.
- Contribute to the analytics engineering layer by extending dbt models, standing up new data pipelines, and shaping Palantir Foundry usage.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to understand data questions, pressure-test assumptions, and deliver trusted analysis.
- Uphold data modeling best practices including documentation, version control via Git, incremental build strategies, and data quality validation.
- Identify and proactively surface data gaps and inconsistencies.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate analytical and engineering work, applying rigorous critical evaluation to outputs.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or a strategy-adjacent analytics role.
- Strong command of SQL, including complex queries with window functions, CTEs, and multi-table joins.
- Hands-on experience with dbt or Palantir for data modeling, or equivalent experience in another modern data warehouse environment.
- Comfort working with a modern cloud data warehouse.
- Demonstrable ability to communicate analytical findings to non-technical executive audiences.
- Intellectual honesty to identify and articulate data limitations.
- Experience with a BI or visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI).
- Genuine interest in learning Palantir Foundry and developing deep expertise.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity with a small, fast-moving team.
- Skepticism towards AI tools, verifying outputs before acceptance.
- A bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field, or equivalent professional experience.
