About the Role
Caterpillar Energy Solutions GmbH, with its brands MWM and CAT, offers highly efficient and environmentally friendly systems for decentralized power generation. Founded in 1871 by Carl Benz, the Mannheim-based company has over 150 years of experience in developing and optimizing gas engines and power generators. Since November 2011, the company has been part of the Caterpillar Group. We are seeking a Tool Maintenance / Warehouse Administrator for our Northern Service Center in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the tool warehouse, including tool issue, tool return, functional testing, and cleaning of tools.
- Regularly inspect safety-relevant tools and aids (e.g., test date, damage) and independently rectify defects.
- Pre-assembly of components and preparation of parts sets for maintenance.
- Management of consumables and measuring instruments, including shipping and calibration.
- Ensure order and cleanliness in the entire workshop environment.
- Support the ordering process for tools and measuring instruments.
- Maintain electronic management systems.
- Manage and monitor inventory levels, considering available storage capacities.
- Prepare materials for shipping, load and unload transports.
Requirements
- Independent and systematic way of working.
- Resilience, even during hectic periods.
- Good technical understanding and manual dexterity.
- Good German language skills, both written and spoken.
- High team spirit and good communication skills.
- Interest in working with software for tool and warehouse management.
- Professional experience in warehouse management and workshops is advantageous.
- Experience with industrial trucks and crane operations is advantageous.
- Confident PC skills (Windows).
