About the Role
The F&B Supervisor leads the day-to-day operation of the hotel's food and beverage outlets, ensuring guests receive excellent service while the team operates efficiently, safely, and profitably. This is a hands-on leadership role involving shift supervision, staff coaching, and floor support during service.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the hotel's food and beverage outlets including restaurant, bar, room service and/or events.
- Ensure guests receive consistently excellent service.
- Ensure the team operates efficiently, safely, and profitably.
- Supervise rostered shifts.
- Coach casual and permanent staff.
- Step in on the floor during service.
- Promote the venue and brand.
- Maintain strong product knowledge.
- Assist with training, supervision, and role allocation as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a F&B supervisor role or similar working in hotels, bars or restaurants.
- Experience managing and training teams, driving a strong team culture and driving a great guest experience.
- Proven knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails.
- Warm, friendly and approachable manner.
- Great communication skills, flexibility and approachable.
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and be adaptable.
- Ideally previous experience working in a supervisor role in events, hotels or hospitality venues.
- Experience managing guest expectations and supporting the food & beverage service.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and work ethic.
- Experience managing teams and coaching staff.
- Professional with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
