About the Role
Provide specialist Occupational Therapy advice to guide patient treatment across hospital services, supporting district care and collaboration with other NSW hospitals. Contribute to multidisciplinary planning, service development, quality improvement, research, and evidence-based practice. Offer clinical leadership through supervision and mentoring. Lead the planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement of Occupational Therapy services. Ensure high-quality patient care through professional standards and stakeholder collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist Occupational Therapy advice to guide the treatment of relevant patients across hospital services, supporting care within the district and collaboration with other hospitals across NSW
- Contribute to multidisciplinary planning, service development, quality improvement, research activities, and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Provide clinical leadership through supervision, mentoring, and support of Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy students
- Lead the planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement of Occupational Therapy services, including monitoring outcomes, activity data, and service effectiveness
- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality patient care through professional practice standards, stakeholder collaboration, and connection of clients with relevant services
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA Occupational Therapy registration
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Strong clinical assessment skills, including home modification, equipment prescription, and delivery of evidence-based interventions to promote safety and maximise independence at home
- Ability to evaluate, plan, and implement clinical services incorporating continuous improvement, WH&S principles, data analysis, research, and evidence-based practice
- Highly developed organisational, prioritisation, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing clinical and administrative demands
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and advocate for Occupational Therapy services
