About the Role

Amazon Logistics Japan is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the execution and expansion of an innovative new logistics business. This role involves shaping the foundation of Amazon's next-generation business ventures in e-commerce shipping, addressing significant logistical challenges within the industry. You will be part of the core Operations team, managing Amazon's business and operations across the entire supply chain and driving continuous improvement projects in Japan to ensure a world-class customer experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the successful expansion of our new logistics business across multiple regions in Japan by coordinating with various stakeholders across business, ops, and tech.
Design and implement detailed processes for first mile, middle mile, last mile, and return operations to achieve best-in-class safety, speed, quality, and cost.
Develop and standardize SOPs in collaboration with operational organizations.
Monitor, analyze, and improve key operational metrics, including delivery speed, quality, and productivity.
Lead and manage various new initiatives, including the implementation of new service features, tech development, and automation through cross-functional team efforts.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
Speak, write, and read fluently in English
2+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or related field experience
2+ years of project/program management experience
3+ years of process improvement procedures experience
2+ years of procurement, program management and supplier diversity & inclusion experience
