About the Role

The Support Technician will assist with ensuring the proper operation and performance of customers’ heating/air conditioning systems in a residential environment.

Responsibilities

  • Familiar with the sequence of operations for heating/air conditioning/refrigeration systems and related equipment and/or components for the purpose of ensuring proper operation of equipment.
  • Maintains tools, supplies and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items and equipment is in safe operating condition.
  • Manage and maintain appropriate inventory ensuring availability of required parts and equipment on an ongoing basis.
  • Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and have good customer communication skills.
  • May be assigned other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Universal Certification for recovery and installation of refrigerants, Type 1 and Type 2.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English in a proficient manner.
  • Must be familiar with and able to utilize electronic equipment, including a computer, for queries and accurate data entry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competency in operation, service and use of a variety of HVAC systems, equipment and related components.
  • Regularly required to listen, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
