About the Role

Shape model risk management, capital markets and risk transformation work for banks, government and major corporates across Australia. This role offers the opportunity to lead advisory engagements, influence executive and board-level decisions, and contribute to a variety of projects within Deloitte's Treasury and Risk team.

Responsibilities

Lead advisory engagements across banking, capital markets and risk.
Help clients respond to complex risk, quantitative and regulatory challenges.
Model interest rate risk and market risks.
Shape derivative valuation platforms.
Review regulatory submissions for model accreditations.
Advise on market risk, liquidity and funding.
Strengthen governance and controls in highly regulated environments.
Oversee quantitative and regulatory projects.
Bring evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Help clients navigate issues central to resilience, performance and trust.
Contribute to projects delivered through advisory work and internal audit channels.
Support and develop a team of Treasury and Risk practitioners.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in risk management across banking, treasury or capital markets.
Experience leading complex modelling, advisory, or regulatory engagements with senior client stakeholders.
Strong knowledge in areas such as model risk management, market risk, liquidity risk, funding and refinancing risk, counterparty credit risk, or treasury governance and controls.
Confidence presenting evidence-based insights, reports and recommendations to executives and boards.
A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to guide, develop and inspire high-performing teams.
Experience across APRA, Basel, IOSCO or related regulatory environments would be valuable.
