About the Role
Responsible for picking and shipping orders to members' homes and businesses, including locating and picking merchandise, packing orders, and assisting with shipping logistics. This role requires frequent lifting and adherence to operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Locate and pick merchandise orders using a digital handheld device.
- Safely navigate a large picking cart around the club.
- Assemble cardboard boxes and pack orders safely and without damage.
- Move pallets of supplies using a pallet jack or other material handling equipment.
- Assist with loading UPS/FedEx trucks.
- Shrink wrap pallets.
- Process member purchases using a handheld digital device.
- Use handheld scanner device (RF) to verify merchandise.
- Build boxes, shrink wrap packages, and move merchandise from sales floor to staging area.
- Communicate inventory and equipment problems.
- Communicate expired or short-dated items.
- Communicate with the club team when merchandise needs replenishment.
- Ensure all orders are picked in a timely manner to meet productivity requirements.
- Work with urgency to meet deadlines and key performance indicators.
- Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards.
- Adhere to established SOP for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
- Take responsibility for individual performance and work with leadership on metrics.
- Wrap and secure merchandise to the pallet prior to transport.
- Clearly label pallets with required information.
- Print shipping labels and other related documents.
- Securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
- Oversee package carrier pick up.
- Ensure the SFC area is neat, clean, and organized.
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard.
- Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
- Process returns to the club and determine handling method.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures.
- Meet OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Previous order pulling experience preferred.
- Big box/wholesale retail experience preferred.
- Previous digital handheld device experience preferred.
