About the Role
This role is for a Shipping and Receiving position at a food manufacturing factory. It involves physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, loading/unloading trucks, and operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Training is provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Receive, label, and store raw materials, packaging, sanitation items, and equipment.
- Ship finished goods while adhering to company food safety systems, procedures, and policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Ensure warehouse equipment is charged and in good working condition.
- Perform weekly internal pest control inspections.
- Record refrigerator and freezer temperatures of on-site storage units.
- Complete trailer inspection forms before unloading and loading trucks.
- Maintain compliance with the visitor log program, ensuring it is filled out correctly.
- Label all incoming raw materials according to company food safety systems before storage.
- Coordinate with management on daily shipping orders.
- Learn to build daily orders of frozen and dry products.
Requirements
- Ability to lift bags of ingredients weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Experience operating a forklift and electric pallet jacks is a plus.
- Bilingual ability is a plus.
