About the Role

Cohere is expanding its Talent Team and seeking a creative, high-performing G&A talent partner to join in the early stages of building the Talent Acquisition function. This role offers the opportunity to master a new domain of recruiting, attract world-class talent, and influence the scaling of a high-growth Canadian tech company.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle recruitment process, attracting and recruiting top talent for G&A (Legal, Finance, Marketing, People, etc.) at Cohere.
  • Ensure candidates have a world-class recruiting experience.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and leaders to create effective recruiting strategies.
  • Provide insights on the talent market and industry trends for informed decision-making.
  • Track recruiting funnels in Ashby (ATS) and update progress regularly.
  • Proactively source and recruit candidates using creative methods to optimize the top of the funnel.
  • Build relationships with diverse tech and talent communities.
  • Undertake and own additional talent projects.
  • Represent the Talent Acquisition team at industry conferences and plan/execute networking events.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of G&A full-cycle recruiting experience scaling high-growth teams.
  • Experience at startups is a plus.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-growing, ambiguous environment.
  • Natural influencer with cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Data-driven approach to recruiting.
  • Passion for diversity, community, and equitable recruiting processes.
  • Experience leveraging AI within workflows to automate processes.
