About the Role
Gain hands-on experience supporting a Senior Associate within Law Partners' Public Liability practice. This role offers valuable insight into the day-to-day management of plaintiff personal injury claims and direct learning from an experienced personal injury lawyer.
Responsibilities
- Arrange medical appointments and manage client diaries
- Draft correspondence and other legal documentation
- Review client files and contact clients to obtain instructions
- Assist with drafting client statements
- Prepare correspondence to insurers and other parties
- Assist with evidence gathering and reviewing medical records
- Draft letters of instruction to medical practitioners
- Support the Senior Associate with file management and general administrative tasks
- Assist with the progression of Public Liability claims
- Communicate with clients professionally and empathetically
Requirements
- Current tertiary study in Law
- Some previous experience or a genuine interest in personal injury law
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence communicating with clients professionally and empathetically
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous legal administration, clerk or paralegal experience is advantageous but not essential
