About the Role

The Recognition Coordinator, Higher Education, plays a key role in expanding access to education and career opportunities globally. This role involves providing account management support for Recognising Organisations and government bodies, building strong partnerships, and ensuring excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring excellent service delivery and identifying opportunities to expand recognition of British Council products.
  • Use data and insight to track performance, monitor progress against targets, and recommend actions for success and continuous improvement.
  • Support the delivery and rollout of new and existing services to strengthen partner engagement and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the implementation of go-to-market plans in collaboration with Network and Marketing teams.
  • Drive best-practice approaches, frameworks, and playbooks to optimize market execution.
  • Represent the British Council in stakeholder meetings, presentations, negotiations, and sector forums.
  • Gather market intelligence and monitor sector developments.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Proposition, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure a consistent customer message.
  • Confidently lead initiatives and coordinate activity across multiple stakeholders.
  • Act as a key point of contact for operational matters.
  • Improve services through customer feedback.
  • Support strategic partner bids and tender processes.
  • Develop scalable and repeatable partner models.
  • Translate propositions into compelling sales narratives.
  • Create enablement materials including pitch decks, value stories, FAQs, and objection-handling resources.
  • Establish feedback mechanisms to improve sales readiness, market adoption, and partner success.

Requirements

  • Must be prepared to attend and participate in regular team and stakeholder meetings during early hours of the morning.
  • Degree in Business or Education.
  • Strong knowledge of the global industry landscape and the British Council's E&E product portfolio.
  • Proven success in key account management for global products or services, building and maintaining strategic relationships.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex global products, services, or programmes to achieve business objectives.
  • Proactive and innovative approach, generating creative solutions that deliver value.
  • Skilled in market analysis, identifying growth opportunities, and responding effectively to changes in the external environment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insight into clear plans and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience developing, negotiating, and managing global contracts, ensuring accountability and taking corrective action when required.
  • Written and verbal proficiency in English is required.
  • Demonstrates evidence of successfully adding value to an established proposition.
  • Experience of working in the international higher education market.
  • The candidates must have legal right to live and work in Canada.
  • Successful candidates are obliged to undergo comprehensive background screening.
