About the Role
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect team partners with customers to design and build scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. You will act as a trusted customer advocate, understanding best practices and advising on cloud migration strategies to drive successful business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Acquire new Financial Services customers (Banking, Insurance, Payments, Capital Markets).
- Communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders as a trusted technical advisor.
- Participate in architectural and design discussions to create world-class AWS solutions.
- Author and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications like whitepapers and proof of concepts.
- Formulate and execute sales strategies with the sales team to exceed revenue objectives.
- Build relationships with senior technical individuals within customer organizations.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.
- Travel regionally, expected to be 15-20%.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting of applications and infrastructures.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
- Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers.
- Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
