About the Role
We are seeking to fill the position of Cook III - Full-Time at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens, a faith-based, nonprofit facility serving the community since 1971.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve all meals, including salads and desserts, for therapeutic diets according to planned menus.
- Follow standardized recipes and special diet orders.
- Serve meals using proper portions and special diet items.
- Prepare food for special occasions or special resident needs as necessary.
- Maintain equipment and food storage areas in sanitary and orderly condition.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years experience in high volume food preparation setting.
- Certification in food safety required.
- Experience in Long-Term Care food service preferred.
