About the Role
Mirvac is seeking a Director, Climate Transition to lead its climate transition program and environment team. This role involves integrating existing climate work, monitoring progress, and navigating future climate-related opportunities and risks. You will ensure climate, resilience, nature, and environmental priorities are commercially credible, clearly communicated, governed, and monitored.
Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution and oversight of Mirvac's climate transition programme and transition plan.
- Evolve our climate, resilience, nature, offsets, and disclosure requirements approach.
- Translate complex topics into clear decisions, trade-offs, risks, and priorities for leaders.
- Oversee the environment team and help ensure priorities, resources, and delivery plans remain aligned and achievable.
- Identify emerging strategic issues and test existing approaches against changing market, policy, customer, and climate scenarios.
Requirements
- Experience in climate transition, resilience, sustainability, property, investment, or a related field within a large organisation.
- Ability to connect ideas, people, and workstreams.
- Ability to simplify complex topics.
- Ability to bring structure, sequencing, and calm leadership to a large, cross-functional program.
- Ability to engage confidently with executive leaders and Boards.
- Understanding that progress often comes from influence and collaboration rather than authority.
- Ability to balance ambition with pragmatism.
