About the Role

The Proposal Manager will manage and coordinate the proposal process for the pursuit of professional services contracts, focusing on architecture, engineering, construction management, and project management services for major public projects. This role requires a hands-on individual capable of working at all levels of the proposal process in coordination with business development and technical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and edit proposals.
  • Manage and coordinate the proposal process, including planning, reviewing, and production of statements of qualifications and proposals.
  • Gather and research information to include in proposals, such as resumes and project summaries.
  • Review, organize, and edit written documentation to improve clarity.
  • Provide final quality control checks, including proofreading for grammar, RFP compliance, and conformance to established company strategies.
  • Verify complex technical solutions, strategies, and themes are easily understandable, readable, and compelling.
  • Update leads resumes, project descriptions, and text libraries in the marketing database.
  • Assist in the development of other marketing tools like brochures and company website content.
  • Engage senior technical and management staff to obtain necessary information and commitment for specific pursuits.
  • Coordinate with technical staff to develop, research, track, and follow up on leads.
  • Participate in strategic planning, including evaluating marketing intelligence, identifying customer concerns, and developing win strategies.
  • Attend industry functions to understand client and project requirements for proposal development.
  • Assist in the day-to-day organization of hard and electronic files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills, knowledge, and experience with office procedures, systems, and protocols.
  • Strong and effective communication, writing, and computer skills.
  • Proven ability to independently manage a challenging workload with multiple priorities and adapt to unexpected changes.
  • Advanced skills in Google Office, Microsoft Office, and file-sharing platforms like Dropbox.
  • Ability to collaborate with Project Executives, Project Managers, and consultants in the proposal preparation process.

Experience Level
