About the Role
As the Lead Product Marketing Manager, you will shape and champion the positioning and understanding of Open USD among banks, payment networks, fintechs, platforms, and developers. You will create clear, tailored narratives, empower commercial teams and partners, and channel market feedback into product strategy. This role offers a unique opportunity to define a new financial category from the ground up, collaborating directly with the CEO and influential companies in payments.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute positioning, messaging, and market segmentation for Open Standard and Open USD across all channels.
- Equip commercial, account management, and partner sales teams with compelling narratives, one-pagers, explainers, competitive positioning, and answers to key partner questions.
- Serve as the definitive resource for product communications, ensuring clarity and alignment in partner interactions.
- Lead go-to-market strategies for launches and expansions, including new partners, additional chains, capabilities, and customer segments.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Communications to craft executive narratives, keynotes, decks, talking points, and strategic messaging.
- Manage website and developer-facing content in partnership with Engineering and Communications.
- Leverage partner and market research, competitive intelligence, and commercial team feedback to inform the product roadmap and ensure customer voice is heard.
- Define, analyze, and report on key metrics demonstrating the effectiveness of narrative and marketing strategies.
Requirements
- 6 to 12 years in product marketing within payments, fintech, crypto infrastructure, or enterprise software.
- Experience with go-to-market strategies for API-based or platform-distributed financial products.
- Proven success in launching new products and expanding existing ones into new segments or markets, particularly for institutional and platform audiences.
- Experience building and leading partner-focused go-to-market programs that empower other companies’ sales teams.
- Fluency in payments terminology and concepts: rails, treasury, settlement, stablecoins, compliance, APIs, and platform economics.
- Ability to write clearly and explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Thrive operating independently, advising founders and executives, and taking ownership of results.
- Experience marketing payments infrastructure, digital assets, treasury/treasury operations, issuing/acquiring, or developer platforms.
- Experience as the first marketer at an infrastructure company.
- Experience running partner or channel marketing at a payments network.
