About the Role
As a Principal Associate on the Global Payments Network (GPN) Tech Finance Team, you will serve as a strategic advisor for Tech, helping to shape the long-term strategic vision and investment needs. You will leverage financial insights to influence strategy, prioritization, and outcomes, requiring strategic thinking and executive-level communication to support the GPN Tech leadership team. This role offers the opportunity to build cross-functional relationships and collaborate on strategic agendas.
Responsibilities
- Develop repeatable processes, frameworks, and templates to enhance team efficiency during system and process integration.
- Establish reporting cadences with Tech and Finance partners, communicating key variances and drivers to leadership.
- Analyze and explain key cost drivers and monthly variances, recommend actions, and manage regular reporting processes.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and Profit & Loss (P&L).
- Assist in developing business presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences.
- Address ad-hoc requests and special projects.
- Independently manage and prioritize workload.
- Work in unstructured environments to outline the financial impacts of platform convergence.
- Deliver compelling insights to senior leaders, even with evolving or imperfect information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in financial analysis
- At least 3 years’ experience with financial modeling
- At least 3 years’ experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- 4+ years’ experience in financial analysis
- 4+ years’ experience with financial modeling
- 3+ years’ experience in strategic analysis & planning
- Proven business relationship, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- Demonstrated independent problem solving and strategic thinking abilities
- Strong teamwork skills; ability to positively contribute to overall success of the team
