About the Role
Leads the regional operational delivery of the Technical Quality of Acceptance strategy across Latin America, the Caribbean and Mexico. This role protects the ability of cardholders to use the network reliably across the merchant-to-acquirer payment ecosystem by monitoring trends, identifying risks, and leading remediation efforts. It is an operational payments-acceptance leadership role, not a sales role.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of operational professionals.
- Lead the regional operational delivery of the Technical Quality of Acceptance strategy.
- Supervise the end-to-end diagnosis and remediation of acceptance breakages.
- Coordinate specialist resources and apply disciplined problem-management practices.
- Lead complex, cross-functional regional initiatives to strengthen technical acceptance resilience.
- Build strong internal partnerships across various teams and influence decisions.
- Establish and maintain clear KPIs, reporting, playbooks, escalation paths, operating controls, and documentation.
- Represent the regional Technical Quality of Acceptance function in governance forums.
- Develop team and stakeholder capability through training and knowledge sharing.
- Engage externally when necessary to clarify technical issues or support strategic acceptance priorities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- At least 7 years of experience in technical acceptance, payment acquiring, merchant processing, payment operations, network operations or payment technology
- At least 5 years of people leadership and performance management experience
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Candidates will need to complete a Language Assessment

- New York, NY: $193,800 - $221,200
- Remote (Regardless of Location): $161,500 - $184,300

- Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300
- Riverwoods, IL: $161,500 - $184,300
