About the Role
Warwick Hotel San Francisco is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to assist with quarterly preventative maintenance for major equipment, ice machines, AC units, and flooring. Responsibilities include repairing walls, painting, furniture touch-ups, and basic plumbing and electrical tasks, prioritizing guest and employee safety.
Responsibilities
- Finish all quarterly Preventative Maintenance (PM's) for all major equipment, ice machines, stoves, Air Conditioners (AC), and flooring.
- Repair walls, paint, furniture touch-ups, and perform basic plumbing and electrical jobs.
- Handle all issues with urgency and with the guests/employee's safety in mind.
- Cover for another tech leaving on vacation for the month of December, working 40 hours per week.
- Potentially work in other areas of the hotel, including a Janitorial capacity.
- Perform cleaning of restrooms and public areas as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be comfortable with hand and power tools.
- Ability to problem-solve maintenance situations.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be able to work full time in December.
- Must be able to work weekends.
- Background check required.
- Reliable means of transportation required.
- References will be required.
- Ability to start in the next week is highly preferred.
Skills
- Using hand and power tools.
- Troubleshooting equipment failures.
- Using online resources for help.
- Patching holes in walls.
- Painting (preparing, sanding, cleaning, correct methods).
- Changing toilets and repairing drains.
- Changing shower valves, toilet valves, faucets, and shower heads.
- Basic electrical knowledge (changing outlets, bulbs, ballasts, soldering is helpful but not required).
- Computer proficiency for emails, placing orders, and research.
- Physical ability to walk extensively, lift up to 40lbs, climb stairs, bend, and twist.
- Cleaning using chemicals, rags, and vacuums.
- Basic floor maintenance (grout, tiles, carpet washing).
