About the Role
Amazon Stores Security - Regulation Tech Assurance (RTA) is responsible for global regulatory compliance for Amazon Stores, Devices, and other products, including payment and healthcare compliance. The team also identifies, analyzes, and mitigates security risks through compliance activities, pentesting, and other sources. We are seeking an experienced Principal Technical Program Manager with a security governance background to help identify, analyze, and prioritize security risks across Amazon, driving leadership prioritization and reducing security and compliance risk.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end execution of Amazon's data governance strategy.
- Manage and be accountable for security programs and/or projects to reduce security and compliance risk.
- Work across various stakeholders to identify and evaluate customer needs and solutions.
- Lead various security compliance activities to achieve and maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standard requirements.
- Continuously prioritize risk for service teams, security teams, and executive leadership.
- Work with security engineers and others to develop technical risk mitigation strategies and approaches.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally with team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Integrate into various enterprise risk management processes.
- Establish program mechanisms, KPIs, and executive reporting.
Requirements
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience.
- Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
- 3+ years of data governance, compliance, and/or privacy experience.
