About the Role
Amazon is seeking a Principal Executive Recruiter to support the scaling of the business by recruiting top leaders for executive-level tech positions within the Amazon Stores business. This role offers the reward of seeing hired candidates make a significant, positive impact on the business.
Responsibilities
- Owning and executing executive-level (Director and Vice President) searches.
- Conducting research to map target companies and top talent for Amazon.
- Creating unique and robust search strategies to identify and attract top talent.
- Developing innovative recruitment strategies.
- Calibrating candidates with hiring managers and senior leaders.
- Developing prospects into candidates through engagement and assessment.
- Contributing to the knowledge base of executive recruiting and Amazon by educating on relevant industries and talent pools.
- Building talent networks and tapping industry sources for a continuous candidate pool.
- Leading client update meetings on active searches.
- Conducting on-site interviews, participating in debriefs, performing 360 reference checks, and presenting employment offers.
- Providing strategic guidance and advice in partnership with executive leadership.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive corporate or search firm recruiting at executive level experience.
- 10+ years of progressive technical recruiting at executive level experience.
- 5+ years of advising and influencing executive leadership experience.
- 5+ years of advising and influencing leadership experience.
- Research skills to learn new technology and product domains, and apply knowledge into effective search strategies.
- Strong communication skills to engage executive stakeholders and articulate complex arguments professionally.
- Tact and high judgment to know when to apply pressure and when to move on.
- Self-assuredness to think on your feet and work on confidential searches with senior leadership.
