About the Role
The Strategic Execution team within the Chief Legal and Administrative Office (CLAO) drives enterprise-level transformation initiatives, providing thought leadership and collaborating with senior leaders to achieve strategic objectives and execution excellence. This role leads the delivery of enterprise-wide strategic and regulatory initiatives, enabling business-driven transformation through effective project governance and outcome delivery aligned with RBC’s long-term strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to assess needs, identify optimization opportunities, and execute program deliverables, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and fostering collaboration.
- Lead and facilitate working groups with cross-functional teams to shape strategic direction, triage issues, and drive progress on enterprise-level initiatives.
- Contribute to senior management materials preparation for Executive Steering Committees and other program forums, ensuring clear communication of program updates, risks, and decisions.
- Support program status reporting at the executive level to ensure program goals are executed and communicated, enabling transparency and informed decision-making.
- Maintain project plans and ensure tasks are on track to meet project milestones, proactively identifying and resolving potential roadblocks.
- Facilitate issue resolution and escalation, manage interdependencies, and maintain the RAID log for effective program delivery and governance.
- Engage with third-party suppliers/consultants as needed to deliver on program objectives, ensuring alignment with internal standards and governance.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
Requirements
- Undergraduate university degree in Business, Finance or a related field required.
- MBA or relevant professional designation strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of project management experience with a demonstrated track record of leadership, problem-solving, and relationship management.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to collaborate and partner with senior business stakeholders, project managers, and team members.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and PowerPoint (strong storyboarding of executive presentations).
