About the Role
We build agents that shop for you, finding products across the open web and completing purchases end to end. You will own the architecture, code, deploys, monitoring, and on-call for systems that transact around the clock, working directly with our CTO.
Responsibilities
- Own our checkout agents, including frontier-model computer-use agents driving live checkouts at scale and the machinery that keeps them operational.
- Improve product ingestion from hundreds to thousands of sources using self-generating, validating, and monitoring infrastructure.
- Develop search and ranking systems involving embedding-based retrieval, LLM query understanding, reranking, and caching for a dynamic catalog.
Requirements
- 5+ years building backend and infrastructure systems with strong Python.
- Experience owning production systems end to end, including deploys, databases, and observability.
- Proven ability to fix classes of problems rather than just individual incidents.
- Experience with adversarial problems where systems face active opposition.
- Commitment to correctness, understanding the impact of silent failures on customer orders.
- Ability to work effectively without a finished specification and adapt to market changes.
