About the Role
We build agents that shop for you, finding products across the open web and completing purchases end-to-end. You will own the architecture, code, deploys, monitoring, and on-call responsibilities for systems that transact around the clock, working directly with our CTO.
Responsibilities
- Own our checkout agents, including frontier-model computer-use agents driving live checkouts at scale and the machinery that ensures their reliability.
- Enhance product ingestion from hundreds to thousands of sources using self-generating, validating, and monitoring infrastructure.
- Develop search and ranking systems utilizing embedding-based retrieval, LLM query understanding, reranking, and caching for a dynamic catalog.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building backend and infrastructure systems with strong Python proficiency.
- Proven experience owning production systems end-to-end, including deploys, databases, observability, and on-call rotations.
- Demonstrated ability to solve adversarial problems where systems actively work against you.
- A strong commitment to correctness, understanding the impact of silent failures on customer transactions.
- Ability to work effectively without a finished specification and adapt to market-driven roadmap changes.
