About the Role
This internship position is an integral part of the Cell Culture and Bioprocess Operations (CCBO) team, driving automation development, digital transformation, and computational modeling in cell line development and cell culture process development workflows to accelerate the development of innovative therapies.
Responsibilities
- Test proof-of-concept workflows to identify areas where automation provides the most benefit.
- Develop automated methods for selected workflows.
- Execute developed methods and evaluate their performance against current manual approaches.
- Document methods to ensure they are reproducible by other team members.
- Implement validated workflows into routine use and present findings to the team.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree, have attained a Bachelor's degree (recent graduates not currently enrolled in a grad program), pursuing a Master's degree, have attained a Master's Degree, or be pursuing a PhD.
- Majors must include Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related life sciences or engineering discipline.
- Coursework or hands-on experience in a laboratory or life sciences discipline.
- Ability to troubleshoot experiments and identify inefficient procedures.
- Proficiency in reading and writing Python.
- Comfort working with AI-assisted coding tools.
