About the Role
Always Compassionate Home Care is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to join their coordination team. This role ensures caregivers provide compassionate care to clients by managing schedules and maintaining communication with the PCA/HHA Division.
Responsibilities
- Oversee client schedules and ensure staffing and coverage for assigned caseload.
- Collaborate with the recruitment department regarding hiring HHA/PCAs from difficult to serve geographical areas.
- Document and report changes in client status, service requirements, aide assignments, incidents, and complaints to the Supervisor.
- Communicate relevant information to nurses and clients.
- Monitor and follow up with clients and families regarding schedule changes and service issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation (weekdays/weekends).
Requirements
- Experience in a fast-paced medical office/healthcare setting.
- Experience with scheduling and/or EMR systems.
- Working knowledge of NYS DOH Home Care operations preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience in a home care setting strongly preferred.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail with problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service background.
