About the Role
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you are the engine and heart of patient care, making a positive difference every day in the lives of patients, their families, and visitors by going above and beyond to meet their needs with courtesy, kindness, respect, and compassion.
Responsibilities
- Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; performing various treatment procedures; providing physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; supervising assigned team members.
- Develop and document individualized care plans customized for each patient’s unique needs, with support from the interdisciplinary health team as needed; maintain effective communication to convey patient health status, treatment plans and progress.
- Demonstrate proficient use of an EHR – including accurate patient and provider documentation and communication.
- Adhere to required department and system protocols, regulations (local, state, federal) and education requirements.

- Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning.
- Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments.
- High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns.
- Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus.
- Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation.
- TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.
- For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.
