About the Role
Principal Asset Management is seeking a Private Infrastructure Debt Intern for Summer 2027 to gain a deep understanding of infrastructure private credit across various sectors. The team fosters a growth mindset and values fresh perspectives, seeking individuals with the right skills, work ethic, and positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Support in the analysis and assessment of infrastructure debt investment opportunities.
- Develop historical and projected financial models, analyze key financial metrics, conduct legal analysis, and research industries to support investments.
- Independently conduct fundamental sector research.
- Support the team in conducting market research and financial modeling.
- Participate in the preparation of investment reports and presentations.
- Monitor and report on the performance of existing investments.
- Engage in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
- Support the team in identifying opportunities to enhance processes through automation, data analytics, and emerging AI tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., finance, accounting, economics, statistics, engineering, data science, business analytics).
- Advanced Excel experience.
- Demonstrated capability to function autonomously and within a group setting.
- Ambitious attitude with a keen interest in finance and infrastructure investments.
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Graduation date of Spring or Fall of 2028.
- Must follow an Investment Code of Ethics related to personal and business conduct and personal trading activities for yourself and household members.
