About the Role
The Analyst, Research and Insights is an integral member of the OSA team, supporting the development of data-driven insights, strategic recommendations, and sports marketing initiatives. This role serves as a key research and analytical resource, translating data into actionable insights that inform client strategy and partnership decisions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research across the global sports and entertainment landscape.
- Gather, organize, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends and opportunities.
- Support the evaluation of sponsorship and partnership opportunities through research and analysis.
- Translate complex research and data into concise insights and narratives for client presentations.
- Develop research reports, landscape analyses, and competitive reviews.
- Support measurement and analysis of client programs and partnerships.
- Maintain an ongoing pulse on developments across sports, sponsorship, media, technology, consumer behavior, and culture.
- Help identify and build new research tools, databases, trackers, and processes.
- Support the development of sports marketing, sponsorship, and partnership strategies.
- Bring research and audience insights into strategic and creative development.
- Contribute to the development of client-facing presentations and strategic frameworks.
- Participate in brainstorms and working sessions, bringing relevant research and trends.
- Research and develop case studies and best-in-class examples.
- Help evaluate potential activation ideas and opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with OSA and broader OBE teams to develop integrated client solutions.
- Support OSA new business efforts through research, analysis, and pitch preparation.
- Conduct research on prospective clients, industries, and marketplace trends.
- Help develop customized insights and strategic narratives for new business opportunities.
- Support the creation of pitch presentations and credentials materials.
- Identify emerging categories, brands, properties, trends, and whitespace opportunities.
- Assist with ad hoc research and preparation for prospective client meetings and events.
- Support day-to-day client servicing and project needs.
- Participate in internal and external meetings, capturing key takeaways and next steps.
- Help manage timelines and deliverables across multiple projects.
- Assist with partnership and activation-related workstreams.
- Contribute to internal OSA initiatives, thought leadership, and knowledge-sharing.
- Help maintain organized internal resources, research libraries, and materials.
- Provide general team support during high-priority client deliverables, pitches, and events.
- Participate in broader OBE initiatives and cross-functional collaboration opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional agency teams to support integrated client programs.
- Help manage communication, timelines, and deliverables across internal teams, clients, vendors, and partners.
- Contribute to internal brainstorms, activation planning sessions, and creative development discussions.
- Support new business efforts through research and presentation development.
- Participate in internal agency initiatives and team collaboration opportunities.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in research, analytics, sports marketing, sponsorship, consulting, brand marketing, agency, or a related field preferred.
- Strong interest and knowledge of the global sports and entertainment landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research, synthesize information, and identify meaningful insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
- Experience working with data, research platforms, audience insights, consumer research, or measurement tools preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Google Slides and other research or data visualization tools preferred.
- Ability to turn data and complex information into clear, concise, and visually compelling stories.
- Familiarity with sports sponsorship, partnerships, marketing, media, and/or experiential marketing preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically and globally as needed.
- Ability to occasionally work non-standard hours around major events, client needs, and deadlines.
