About the Role

AAMCO of Amityville, a leading automotive center on Long Island with over 35 years of community service, seeks a skilled General Repair Diagnostician/Technician to maintain exceptional customer service standards. This position offers competitive pay, AAMCO training, and advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Remove and reinstall transmission systems.
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities.
• Explain discovered problems to service writers and technicians.
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools, and repair techniques.
• Professionally record findings for accurate repair cost estimation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a General Automotive Technician.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Own professional-grade tools for general repair needs.
• Experience troubleshooting and conducting mechanical and electrical diagnostics, including drivability testing.
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.
• Existing knowledge of transmission system removal and reinstallation is preferred but not mandatory.
