About the Role
Total Vision LLC is a growing group of optometry practices dedicated to world-class eye care. We seek passionate, energetic, and committed team members to excel in our expanding environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with frame and lens selection.
- Educate patients on various lens options, including clear and sunglasses.
- Ensure proper fit and measurements for all lens types.
- Educate patients on the benefits of multiple pairs of glasses.
- Verify patient insurance and explain benefits.
- Dispense glasses and educate patients on adaptation to new prescriptions and lens types.
- Assist patients with repairs and adjustments.
- Return patient phone calls promptly and inform them of any delays.
- Assist with other office tasks as needed.
- Cross-train and assist other roles in the office as needed.
- Be flexible with the work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must exhibit excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills with customers.
- Ability to educate patients on their options.
- Must be a team player and communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to be flexible with work environment.
- Must be physically able to sit for long periods of time, read a computer screen for long periods of time, reach, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Hand dexterity, and eye and hand coordination are critical.
- Employee is subject to inside environmental conditions.
- Employee’s schedule could include after hour projects, as needed.
- Travel to other practices, as needed.
- For remote or hybrid roles, demonstrate high engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings.
