About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager on Transactions, you'll own the strategy and roadmap for a core domain at Remitly, including transaction orchestration, data, and eligibility/limits. You will partner with engineering to turn platform capabilities into product differentiators and serve as the go-to person for teams building on the transaction platform.
Responsibilities
- Own the lifecycle of the domain, including strategy, roadmap, and delivery, and build buy-in across engineering and cross-functional leadership.
- Partner with teams across Remitly that build on your platform domain, balancing their needs against a coherent long term roadmap.
- Define success metrics for your area and drive initiatives that improve customer and company outcomes.
- Act as a technical thought partner to engineering, understanding system tradeoffs and representing the customer.
- Lead modernization efforts to retire legacy systems and replace them with reusable capabilities without compromising reliability.
- Shape the platform vision, balancing end-customer needs with the needs of internal teams.
- Own the end-to-end transaction lifecycle, identifying opportunities to automate, harden, and decouple components.
- Independently build end-to-end product prototypes using AI infrastructure, covering product thinking, design, data, and code.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical product management experience, ideally with platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing products.
- Proven track record of defining product vision and roadmap in ambiguous spaces and delivering with limited guidance.
- Demonstrated good judgment on balancing immediate team needs with long-term platform needs.
- Technical depth: comfortable discussing APIs, event-driven architecture, orchestration/workflow engines, and distributed systems tradeoffs.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities and building consensus without formal authority.
- Curiosity about complex systems and a habit of investigating data or code.
- Experience using AI to build product prototypes across product, design, data, and code.
- Experience owning or improving a production system's reliability or automation.
