About the Role
Join Horizon as a Property Maintenance professional and make a daily difference in someone's life. You'll work in a supportive, team-based environment with a seamless onboarding experience designed for your success.
Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical, floor covering, painting, and seasonal needs.
- Troubleshoot all building systems to proactively maintain building operations.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors.
- Complete all appropriate paperwork.
- Take direction from the Property Manager on property management and maintenance issues.
- Manage productivity and daily job responsibilities.
- Perform cleaning, repairing, maintaining, constructing, renovating, demolishing, and moving building systems as needed.
- Ensure building meets all appropriate compliance.
- Perform universal precautions and use personal protective equipment.
- Follow all OSHA, DOH, and building regulations.
- Perform regulatory building audits and inspections.
- Maintain reports and tracking systems to provide a safe and healthy environment.
- Manage a preventative maintenance program for building systems.
- Provide oversight of all exterior property conditions.
- Perform renovation projects including alterations of walls, carpentry, drywall, electrical, doors, ceilings, plumbing, floor covering, and paint.
- Communicate effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Navigate and utilize computer-based work order system.
Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience required, open to specialties including plumbing, electrical, patch work, HVAC, and home repairs.
- Experience in cleaning, repairing, maintaining, constructing, renovating, demolishing, and moving building systems.
- A clean, valid NYS driver's license.
- Three years of driving experience.
- Reliable transportation to travel locally on a regular basis.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
