About the Role

This is a wide product seat that spans from the user-facing surfaces like the Fanatics app, scores, and free-to-play features, down to the underlying infrastructure supporting five distinct business units. The role involves owning both ends of this spectrum and the critical connections between them, focusing on solving the most challenging and impactful problems within the ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Fanatics app and the daily fan habit, including user experience, engagement, and integration with other products.
  • Manage registration, onboarding, and the initial user session to drive acquisition and cross-sell.
  • Develop strategies for user retention through habit loops, notifications, and addressing user drop-off points.
  • Oversee the free-to-play product, including game design, cadence, prizing, and its contribution to acquisition and retention.
  • Manage the FanCash loyalty program, focusing on its in-product visibility, earn and burn mechanics, and user understanding.
  • Oversee the development and adoption of shared infrastructure components, including identity, SDKs, and common services, to enable a 'build once, deploy everywhere' approach.
  • Address scalability challenges and define service boundaries for future growth.
  • Take ownership of high-value, unscoped problems within the ecosystem, driving them to resolution.

Requirements

  • Eight or more years in product management with experience in both consumer and platform/infrastructure product ownership.
  • Demonstrated range of experience, having owned meaningfully different problems and adapted quickly to new domains.
  • Proven track record of owning acquisition or retention metrics and influencing their movement.
  • Technical depth to collaborate effectively with engineering teams on APIs, SDKs, authentication, data models, and scalability.
  • Data fluency, including the ability to write queries, design experiments, and differentiate between metric movement and significance.
  • Experience with cross-organizational influence in environments where outcomes were owned without direct roadmap authority (e.g., multi-brand, multi-P&L, marketplace).
  • Comfort working within regulated environments, collaborating with legal and compliance teams.
  • Ability to write clearly and effectively to drive decisions independently.
  • Low ego and a strong bias for action.
  • Excellent judgment for prioritizing and focusing on the most critical tasks.
  • Experience killing or sunsetting products or features.
  • Experience working in ecosystems where the platform or marketplace is the product (e.g., super-app, multi-vertical marketplace).
  • Ability to create documentation that influences company decisions.
