About the Role
Wirecutter is seeking a strategic and operationally focused partnerships leader to drive performance-based results and enhance the Wirecutter Picks buying experience. The Director, Commerce Partnerships will lead business development, partnerships, and affiliate operations, reporting to the Executive Director, Commerce. This role emphasizes team mentorship and cross-organizational collaboration to achieve company goals. This is a temporary position from September 2026 to May 2027.
Responsibilities
- Oversee strategic development of affiliate revenue growth strategies to meet EPC targets and diversification goals.
- Manage important strategic partners.
- Advise on industry insights to identify opportunities impacting revenue growth strategy and goals.
- Partner with Data Insights, Product, and Editorial leadership to implement action plans for growth.
- Serve as the strategic and operational partner to Deputy Editors regarding coverage of tentpole moments and sale events.
- Foster relationships across agencies and networks to enhance Wirecutter's status in commerce content.
- Implement career development plans and mentor direct reports to build a high-performance team.
- Attend affiliate conferences throughout the year.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience with an emphasis on client services, business development, and/or partnerships.
- 4+ years of experience in a business-facing affiliate marketing role.
- Proven track record of growing revenue targets and implementing new revenue strategies valued at a minimum of 8 figures.
- Experience in financial management, including forecasting against goals and budgets, revenue growth, and profitability.
