About the Role
Responsible for the administration, security, governance, and support of the organization’s Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring collaboration services are secure, compliant, reliable, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Office apps)
- Manage users, groups, and licensing via Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Monitor service health and implement updates
- Administer and support Microsoft Copilot features across Microsoft 365 services
- Configure and manage Copilot Studio agents
- Configure retention policies, labels, and lifecycle standards
- Manage external sharing and access controls
- Support eDiscovery, legal holds, and audit readiness
- Ensure AI usage aligns with data governance, security, and compliance policies
- Partner with Security and Compliance teams to manage AI-related risks and controls
- Enforce MFA, Conditional Access, and RBAC
- Implement DLP and sensitivity labeling
- Support incident response and account security investigations
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for M365 services
- Develop user guidance and training materials
- Support secure collaboration and external sharing use cases
- Support backup, recovery, and resiliency planning
- Monitor usage, storage, and license optimization
- Maintain documentation and operational runbooks
- Partner with IT Security, PMO, and business units
- Support platform improvements, rollouts, and governance initiatives
Requirements
- 4+ years administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment
- Experience with Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive
- Strong knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD) identity and access management
- Familiarity with compliance tools (e.g., Purview, DLP, retention)
- Experience with PowerShell for administration/automation
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience in regulated environments (insurance, finance, government)
- Familiarity with Intune / Endpoint Manager and hybrid environments
- Knowledge of security baselines and audit practices
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, SC-300, SC-400)

- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Communicating technical concepts clearly
- Balancing security, compliance, and usability in a regulated business environment
