About the Role
Excellence Community Schools (ECS) is seeking a results-oriented, experienced Porter to support the Facilities and Maintenance Team. This role involves cleaning and maintaining school buildings and systems, including packing, unpacking, and moving items, as well as assisting with diverse departmental needs.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all assigned areas to high standards.
- Move and arrange furniture, equipment, deliveries, and boxes with care.
- Assist with painting and repair work as directed.
- Report all maintenance and repair needs, including dangerous conditions, to the Supervisor.
Requirements
- All work must be performed in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- Familiarity with all chemicals and tools necessary for the work.
- Ability to interact positively with Supervisors and co-workers.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexibility with work and work schedules.
- Friendly, courteous, polite demeanor.
- Ability to communicate well with others.
- Willingness to offer help when assistance is needed.
