About the Role
The Program Manager is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Education department by overseeing educational activities. This role assists the Director in planning and coordinating orientation schedules, creating marketing tools for educational programs, coordinating student placements, managing NYSNA provider programs, and coordinating entries into the GeoLearning Learning Management System.
Responsibilities
- Oversees tracking of educational activities and competency assessments in the acustaf system or the Learning Management system.
- Works as a liaison between the Department of Nursing Education and various internal and external departments and vendors.
- Coordinates on-boarding orientation schedules for all new hires processed through the Department of Nursing Education.
- Manages the Acustaf Schedule for the department.
- Performs administrator role for all continuing education provider unit activities and manages the Annual Report for Provider Status maintenance.
- Receives and processes requests for student placements, prepares assignments, and communicates with Colleges of Nursing.
- Creates marketing strategies and activities to enhance communication of Nursing Education department programs.
- Tracks and processes expenses and revenues of the department of nursing education.
- Assists Nurse Educators in securing presenters, acquiring documentation, and organizing materials for continuing education programs.
- Creates and manages par levels for learning materials and equipment.
- Creates an organized data management system for the Department of Nursing Education.
- Supervises staff and directs day-to-day work activities, including assigning responsibilities, setting priorities, and monitoring productivity.
- Provides ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Administration, health, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of program-related experience of progressively increasing responsibility.
- Proven experience with managing a multi-person work environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
