About the Role
We are starting work on a new mission critical system that will preserve and improve the trusted experience that Amazon provides to its customers. This is a greenfield initiative with plenty of opportunity for innovation in the security space through new data exploration and machine learning techniques. We are seeking a Software Development Engineer with a great passion for data, and an insatiable desire to be curious and invent. A commitment to team work and strong communication skills are absolute requirements. Creating reliable, scalable, and high performance products requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems. This position will require working cross-functionally across multiple teams and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
- Work cross-functionally across multiple teams and technologies.
Requirements
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
