About the Role
Leads and supports efforts to enhance customer value, nurture a learning environment, facilitate continuous improvement, and maximize project team collaboration at the Business Unit or Project Level.
Responsibilities
- Acts as a change agent implementing strategies to develop and strengthen a lean enterprise culture.
- Works daily with teams in the utilization of the Last Planner® System.
- Provides insight, direction, and strategic alignment as a key member of the Business Unit or Project Management team.
- Supports successful project launches using the Launch Matrix.
- Assists project teams in using Lean Roadmap as a planning tool.
- Maintains a consistent presence on assigned projects, setting up Visual Management, the Last Planner® System, and 5S.
- Supports the development and implementation of local project and BU improvement and innovation initiatives through workshops, training, and coaching.
- Collaborates with the Regional Lean Manager and others to share and learn from improvement efforts.
- Works with the Regional Lean Manager to implement standard work for own activities.
- Implements improvement and innovation projects based on leadership direction.
- Facilitates the establishment of a lean management system and culture.
- Develops and conducts standard lean training, supporting national programs on topics like Last Planner® System, lean problem solving, lean leadership, and culture.
- Conducts regular project reviews to assess status, challenges, opportunities, and establish measurable improvement goals.
- Supports project teams in using Lean Roadmap as a learning resource by developing and following a plan to achieve project goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of five years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to challenge the status quo.
- Ability to influence others and lead without authority.
- Shows initiative, patience, and perseverance.
- Has coaching mindset and skills.
- Extensive travel is required.
