About the Role
Abby Care is redefining family caregiving with AI-powered products and support. In this role, you’ll design and build technology that is core to the families we serve and to how Abby Care operates. You will solve challenging technical problems with real-world impact and help shape the product direction and roadmap as a key early engineer.
Responsibilities
- Drive product and platform development, taking full ownership of the development lifecycle from concept to delivery.
- Define project scope based on requirements, perform full-stack development, conduct user testing, and manage launch cycles.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, clinical, compliance, product) to build real-world solutions.
- Articulate technical initiatives to further the company's mission.
- Deepen technical expertise in product development, cloud infrastructure, machine learning, or data security.
- Broaden horizons by building greenfield systems using the latest advancements in AI.
- Uphold healthcare industry standards and become an expert in the US healthcare sector.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience with Web and API development
- Experience working with Typescript and Python
- Experience with cloud architectures and platforms such as AWS
- Experience with product development is preferred
- Experience in the healthcare industry and at startups is preferred
