About the Role

The Corning Corps of The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time Ministry Assistant to support Corps Officers in various ministry aspects, including program planning, coordination, and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Fully participate in Sunday activities, including services, leading Sunday School, and junior church.
• Assist Corps Officers in developing, planning, and implementing programs like social and evangelistic ministries, seasonal efforts (Kettles, Angel Tree, Back to School), and youth ministries (camps, Bible school).
• Provide leadership at events, assisting with promotion, registration, and implementation.
• Assist with transportation for programs, divisional events, Camp Long Point, and seasonal needs.
• Complete training and licensing for the Kid’s Café program to provide coverage as needed.
• Gather and submit program statistics, and maintain program records.
• Provide general support for daily Corps needs and perform special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Effective communication skills
• Valid driver's license and approval to drive TSA vehicles
• Basic computer skills
• Emotional and spiritual maturity
• Must support and uphold The Salvation Army Mission Statement and Salvation Army Doctrines
