About the Role

Manages the end-to-end product development and production process for Lucky Sweaters & Graphics, identifying opportunities to elevate product quality, achieve financial objectives, improve speed to market, and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the end-to-end seasonal product development process from concept approval through production readiness.
  • Partners with Merchandising, Design, Technical Design, Fabric, and suppliers to ensure product development milestones are achieved on time.
  • Manages the seasonal development calendar and production T&A, proactively tracking samples, fit approvals, materials, costing, and key deliverables.
  • Manages day-to-day communication with internal cross-functional teams and global suppliers to support timely execution and issue resolution.
  • Manages development progress, identifies risks to quality, cost, or timing, and escalates issues with recommended solutions.
  • Costs engineer with expertise in product costing, fabric/yarn analysis, and garment construction, enabling accurate cost management and margin optimization.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with global suppliers.
  • Communicates product requirements, quality expectations, calendar milestones, and delivery standards to suppliers.
  • Monitors supplier performance and proactively resolves issues related to development, quality, costing, or production readiness.
  • Ensures all product specifications, development details, and approvals are accurately maintained within PLM and related business systems.
  • Prepares product development reports, meeting materials, and status updates to support milestone reviews and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Mentors, coaches, and develops Associate Product Manager, fostering growth and increasing team effectiveness.
  • Provides guidance, training, and support to junior team members on development processes, systems, and best practices.
  • Supports the Director in executing seasonal product strategies and achieving category financial, quality, and delivery objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Product Development, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in Product Development, Sourcing, or Production within a retail, wholesale apparel organization.
  • Experience handling Discounters and Clubs business is a preference.
  • Knowledge of the product development process and apparel product lifecycle.
  • Ability to effectively manage and coordinate multiple cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and deliver results on schedule.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of costing, sourcing, and production processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with PLM systems is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to travel as business needs require.
  • Adheres to the company's hybrid work policy and maintains regular in-office presence to support collaboration and team engagement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
