About the Role
The Manager, Savings & Retirement Advice and Sales leads a team of licensed Investment & Retirement Consultants and Wealth Associates. This role supports members through workplace transitions and savings decisions, ensuring they understand options and make informed financial choices. The position is accountable for achieving team sales, retention, productivity, and client experience objectives through strong leadership and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of licensed Investment & Retirement Consultants and non-licensed Wealth Associates.
- Achieve team sales, retention, engagement, productivity, financial planning, and utilization objectives.
- Drive team performance through disciplined management of operational sales metrics.
- Oversee the effective management and prioritization of sales opportunities.
- Lead a two-tier engagement model combining proactive outreach and licensed advice delivery.
- Coach Consultants and Wealth Associates to deliver high-quality advice experiences.
- Develop and refine contact strategies to improve speed-to-contact, appointment-setting rates, and conversion outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships through advice, planning, and referrals.
- Monitor business performance and leverage reporting, analytics, and operational insights.
- Ensure consistent execution of advice practices, sales processes, compliance requirements, and service standards.
- Recruit, coach, and develop talent while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and client-focused advice.
Requirements
- Reliability Status Security Clearance required.
- 5-10 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, retirement planning, or Group Retirement Services.
- Strong understanding of retirement savings plans, investment products, wealth accumulation strategies, and financial planning concepts.
- Proven success leading high-performing teams accountable for sales, conversion, retention, and revenue generation.
- Experience managing sales pipelines, lead management processes, and advisor productivity metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to coach advisors and sales professionals to achieve business objectives.
- Proven ability to leverage data, insights, and technology to improve advisor performance.
- Exceptional knowledge of retirement savings, retirement income, and investment products and services.
- Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- LLQP designation or experience leading licensed financial services professionals.
- Knowledge of Group Retirement Services, retirement savings products, and workplace retirement plans is considered an asset.
- Bilingualism (fluent in French and English) is an asset, required for Quebec.
