About the Role
This remote role involves handling challenging Employment Practices Liability (EPL) claims, collaborating with legal experts and policyholders to resolve sensitive claims including workplace disputes, discrimination, and harassment allegations. The role also supports other products like Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Contractor’s Errors & Omissions, and Cyber Liability.
Responsibilities
- Tackle challenging Employment Practices Liability (EPL) claims.
- Apply expertise to address evolving workplace needs.
- Resolve sensitive claims, including those involving workplace disputes, discrimination, and harassment allegations.
- Complete accurate and timely coverage assessments and letters.
- Conduct liability and damage investigations.
- Evaluate complex Employment Practices Liability insurance policies.
- Establish, document, and execute appropriate strategies for early and cost-effective claim resolution.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external customers, clients, underwriters, and agents.
- Consistently demonstrate sound claim handling practices by achieving compliance in investigation, coverage, loss assessment, and case management.
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of Employment Practices Liability claims and litigated claims management.
- Experience managing panel counsel, litigation guidelines, and reviewing law firm billing.
- Experience with other claims-made professional/management liability lines such as Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Contractor's E&O, D&O, Cyber Liability, preferred.

- Strong working knowledge of Employment Practices Liability exposures and employment law concepts.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and build relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts.
- Aptitude for evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting technical information.
- Sound critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and professionally.
- Flexibility and willingness to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

- $80,000 - $115,000 plus opportunity for company bonus
