About the Role
The Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator ensures a seamless office experience for patients, informing them about their treatment plans, insurance benefits, financial arrangements, and appointment coordination.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present treatment plans and financial estimates to patients.
- Schedule patient treatment appointments, reschedule no-shows, and follow up on incomplete treatment.
- Manage doctor and hygiene schedules for efficient appointment time utilization.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to manage daily patient flow and communicate information.
- Assist patients with financial arrangements.
- Complete pre-authorization.
- Handle all treatment paperwork, including consent, policy, and exit forms.
- Communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with the doctor.
- Promote teamwork through cooperative and professional behaviors.
- Check patients out.
- Answer and return incoming patient calls.
- Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines concerning patient records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Dental insurance knowledge is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Project coordination experience.
- Adherence to OSHA guidelines, HIPAA Privacy Policy, and operating procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dental practice management software.
- Positive contribution to a respectful and collaborative working environment.
- Willingness to advance skills through continuing education.
- Punctual attendance during scheduled shifts.
