About the Role
Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to support the implementation of their P2P project across over 300 pharmacy locations in Canada. This role is crucial for financial support of head office activities and oversight of new and existing pharmacies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a strong and accurate accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations, efficiencies, and profitability.
- Assist in the vendor set-up process when required by the team.
- Match, code, and process vendor invoices, expense reports, commissions, and other payment requests.
- Ensure all vendor documentation is managed and filed appropriately.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Handle vendor inquiries and rectify any issues.
- Manage accounts payable data.
- Participate in payables projects.
- Respond to information requests from internal customers.
- Assist stores with any questions related to accounts payable issues.
- Recommend changes or enhancements to ensure "best practice" policies and procedures to gain synergies across all lines of business units.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Ability to read, comprehend, write, and speak English.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals.
Skills
- Advanced Excel skills (V-look up, Pivot Tables).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to manipulate data into spreadsheets, word documents, etc.
- Process automation in Chrome River and BC 365 experience are considered an asset.
- Formal education in Accounting and/or Business Administration is considered an asset.
